This workout is to honor Thai Navy Seal, Saman Gunan, a retired Navy Seal who returned to service to help aide in the rescue of 12 boys and their soccer coach. The boys were in a cave which was filling with water unable to escape. Saman was delivering oxygen tanks to the boys and passed away as he did not have enough oxygen to make it out of the cave himself.

I joined Strong Together Roxbury CrossFit in 2017 at a time that I was at the heaviest I've been in my adult life. I did one marathon 4 years earlier in 2013 before embarking on a heads down focused journey to getting a double masters. My active life suffered.
